CAMEROON: SOME UPDATES OF EVENTS ON TUESDAY THE 5TH OF APRIL 2016.
The following were top among other news making events in Cameroon on Tuesday 5th April 2016
1- Public service works to improve service delivery process.
A support program for quality service delivery in administrative structures has been put in place by the Ministry of Public service and Administrative reforms in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program UNDP.
The program is expected to improve upon the system of treating documents whereby state agents will henceforth adopt better ways of providing services from the level of reception to the accessing of information.
2- African Development Bank finances economically strategic road.
The government of Cameroon has obtained a loan of over 40 billion FCFA from the African Development Bank.
The fund will be used to finance the construction of a modern road linking Ketta to Djoum in the South Region in order to boost economic exchange between Cameroon and Congo.
The Loan Agreement was signed in Yaounde between the African Development Bank and the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development represented by Louis Paul Motaze.
3- Experts meet to harmonize community maps.
Community leaders and local development experts have met in Yaounde this Tuesday to reflect on how to harmonize community map for the exploitation of resources.
The experts are seeking participatory approach given the recurrent conflicts between local communities and structures that exploit land for different purposes.
At the end of the seminar, participants will come up with a unified methodology for community mapping protocol in Cameroon.
4- Experts meet to combat trafficking
Experts of the International Criminal Police Organization- Interpol are meeting in Yaounde.
The three day meeting has been organized to explore strategies on how best to contain and control human trafficking, clandestine immigration and terrorism in Central African States.
The session is being chaired by the interim Regional Director of Interpol Lawrence Oben Tang Eno.
